WHAT

In 2016, the post-rehabilitation center REVAlution was opened. Here, people who have finished rehabilitation are still welcome to continue exercising. Our team continues to provide support mentally and physically. In doing so, we make use of the latest technologies.

There are also many services in the center that have a link with rehabilitation: a tailor to make adapted clothes, an insurance specialist, a bicycle mechanic, etc. So there is a whole system around rehabilitation.

The rehabilitation offer focuses on people with neurological disorders, paraplegics, stroke patients, orthopedic and prosthetic patients, people with multiple sclerosis…

doel2

GOAL

This project includes three major objectives:

First, we wanted to build a post-rehabilitation center.

Second, we set up longitudinal research. That is, we follow up all individuals who step with an exoskeleton quarterly.

Third, we are building an ecosystem around the center. By this we mean the entire system of services and support around the center. It’s not only about rehabilitation itself.

onze rol2

OUR ROLE

As a partner of REVAlution, Mobilab & Care conducts a great deal of research in test, practice and innovation phases. For example, all people who walk with an exoskeleton are followed up every three months. We look at the quality of life, participation, medication use, doctor’s visits, etc.

Mobilab & Care is also working on the development of an ecosystem. To this end, co-creation sessions have been set up in collaboration with LiCalab and Voka. This has already led to two side projects: one in chronic wound care and one in the use of virtual reality in rehabilitation.
